The Long Days of Summer – written and animated by teacher Brenda for ages 10 to 12

I love summer so much. Summer vacations are fun. Summer is when the days are so long and the weather is so hot.

We then can go to the beach, we can surf swim like fish or build sand castles at the beach.

We can go camping and fishing with our family. I love looking up at the sky and counting stars with my family.

During the day, I can go on adventures with my friends. We go looking for wild flowers in the woods.

My favorite part of summer is eating ice cream.  yum, all kinds of ice cream. Chocolate, strawberry cherry or vanilla, they are all so good.

At night we can stay up late watching TV. I stay up until I feel very, very sleepy. What do you like to watch on TV?

I like to help in the garden. We can plant many flowers. I can pour the water on all the flowers.

My brother and I help with chores. We hang the clothes on the clothesline. Can you help?

I even help with the barbecue at dinner. I like to eat hot dogs and hamburgers.

It is sad that summer doesn't last forever. Soon, back to learning and back homework. I wish summer was all year long.
